Heres the official record of the days events with the crew form Dunbar (Lochend) Community Woods. What a weekend we had ! These horses and skills learned over the two days down at Buy Design are going to be put to great use in their woodlands over the next few years. If you are in the Dunbar area go and help them out !

We had a great bunch of folk down from Dunbar Community Woodlands (Lochend Woods) last weekend making shaving horses. Loads of new skills learned hopefully that they will take back and get some green wood products made from their own woodland. It's the way forward for groups like this we think. Using the human and natural resource to its maximum potential. If any of you are near Lochend on a weekend get yourself along for some hands on stuff or creative artistic weekends. The eight folks that were here with us were all committed people, local choir, community bakery, car share schemes all sustaining Dunbar. Is there no end to their talents ? Power to their elbows !!! |
