What a fab day we had yesterday with Tansy Lee Moir drawing trees around the workshop. An intensely enjoyable day of learning new techniques from an established artist really brought out the best in our participants. Here's a selection of the studious group who had travelled from as far afield as Inverness and Germany !!!!! We've definitely decided to hold another day in the coming spring - have a look at the new dates up on the website.

We just love it when our participants just get stuck in .... Another great bunch along this weekend to make stools from all parts. Mel, Susan, Kate, Allan, Fraser and Kathleen made some beautiful pieces of vernacular furniture. Once again great skills shown by folks that had not really done much wood working before. Comes naturally to most though. Well done guys - maybe see some of you back next year. Have a look at 2016 course dates.
We had a another great spoon making day yesterday at the gallery. Brian Mahler (as usual ) led us through the history, techniques and tooling of the art of spoon making. Richard, Kerry Anne, Lisa, Mark, Gail, Nonnie and John all put in a great shift despite the high humidity ! We've put up our list of 2016 courses by the way. There are two spoon days and some new making days for you to have a look at. Just in case you didn't know we have Timber Tokens available in the shop to give to friends, colleagues or family members.
