Thanks for all the fantastic support of and participation in our courses this year. The folks attending the courses made over 160 items of vernacular furniture. What an achievement !!!!!! We made spoons, baskets, willow chairs, did charcoal drawings and large woodprints as well. We have completed training for our Forest School colleagues, kept the drop in workshop going on Fridays for our waiffs and strays and helped out numerous community owned woodland and forestry projects through our donation scheme. "More trees, less assholes !"  A Big Tree Hug to everyone from Eoin, Gail and Dave. See you on the other side. PS Thanks also for the 80 odd confirmed bookings for 2017 as well - it's great to know the word it out  and people are keen to come and make with their hands.

The Big Tree Society courses in green woodworking have been a tremendous success again in the workshop garden here at Buy Design. Folks have come from all over the country. We actually had a guy come from Australia especially for a course !!! The course participants have made over 200 items of rustic furniture including chairs, stools, benches and have taken away loads of new skills and techniques to hopefully make some more for themselves. New course dates for 2017 are already filling up. Big Tree has gift vouchers or timber tokens to give to partners, friends or work colleagues as a very special creative day or weekend course.
